Job summary

Skyline Search Partners is partnering with a growing company in the St. Cloud, MN area to hire a Director of Human Resources. This role leads an HR team and shapes a scalable function for a workforce that includes union field employees and nonunion office staff.

The position combines strategic direction with hands-on execution, requiring initiative, clear guidance, and strong cross‑functional relationships across leadership. Onsite, Monday–Friday in the St. Cloud area.

Qualifications

• Experience leading an HR function through growth in a small/midsize organization.
• Union workforce experience and knowledge of collective bargaining agreements.
• Ability to move between strategic planning and day‑to‑day execution.
• Experience coaching and developing HR staff.
• Track record of improving processes and implementing change.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the HR team with clear responsibilities and accountability.
• Evaluate HR practices and create a practical growth roadmap.
• Partner with leadership to align HR initiatives with business goals.
• Apply union and bargaining expertise to workforce needs.
• Improve onboarding/offboarding and field-employee processes.
• Strengthen HR tech adoption and reduce manual work.
• Set measurable goals and report progress to leadership.
• Introduce scalable practices while preserving company culture.
