Incumbent in this position is responsible for assigned personnel activities and clerical support to the HR office/HR Deputy Assistant Director for CSA Employees are responsible for the personnel program activities and all related duties of the agency. The Incumbent in this position handles recruitment activities. In its support of all personnel issues this position serves the needs of the entire agency and makes a recommendation to the HR office/HR Deputy Assistant Director for CSA accordingly with clear and concise oral and written presentations. Employee receives general directions and supervision from the HR Officer/HRDAD. This position must maintain the highest level of confidentiality in accordance with the work performed. The individual must possess excellent written, technical and oral communication skills.
Completes all recruitment activities for the agency. Creates/completes position exception requests and submits all appropriate documentation via JobAps for recruitment notices.
Reviews all certification lists, screens applicants/applications for minimum qualification, and schedules and assists in conducting interviews.
Conduct new employee orientation. Acts as the point person for scheduling all new hires for background checks in accordance with state and federal requirements.
Serves as a liaison to internal staff, outside agencies, and elected officials to obtain and disseminate information on behalf of the HR Officer and Executive Director.

Education: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.
Experience: One year of general clerical or administrative support experience, at least six months must have been paraprofessional personnel experience involving the application of personnel procedures, policies, rules, and regulations to specific employment actions. Appropriate paraprofessional personnel experience should have included responsibility for activities such as, preparing and maintaining employment records, calculating salaries, applying and interpreting rules and policies, preparing personnel-related reports, counseling employees regarding benefits and obligations, and responding to inquiries concerning employment actions.
Note: Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a non-commissioned officer in human resources assistance classification or human resources assistance specialty codes in the human resources management field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.
