Job summary

Snohomish County in the United States is seeking a Human Resources Consultant project position to backfill and support during our ERP implementation. You will work across compensation, benefits, recruitment and labor relations in a collaborative team.

This role requires a Bachelor's degree in business or public administration, HR experience, and the ability to interpret policies. The position is remote-friendly with a strong emphasis on data and HRIS usage, and will report to Central Human

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business or public administration or other discipline directly related to human resources; AND one (1) year of human resources experience; OR, any equivalent combination of training and/or experience that provides the required knowledge and abilities.
• Must pass job related tests.
• Professional HR certification such as SHRM-CP, PHR, IPMA-CP, or related certification preferred.
• Must sign a confidentiality agreement as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

• Consult with HR Business Partners and management to provide guidance and interpretation to departments and employees.
• Answer questions, resolve issues, explain services, policies, and procedures; locate information from records as requested.
• Investigate problems with processes; recommend improvements and efficiencies.
• Utilize HRIS and run reports to provide data-driven service.
• Contribute to a cooperative team environment and prioritize work.
• Assist with inquiries regarding retirement and long-term disability.
• Provide guidance on leaves (FMLA, PFML) and other leave policies.
• Maintain pay tables and implement annual rate adjustments in coordination with labor relations and finance.
• Maintain confidential records and monthly reports; perform special HR projects as assigned.
• Research federal, state and local laws affecting HR operations.
