Job summary

The County Materials Family of Companies seeks a Human Resources Business Partner to align HR strategies with site objectives across our manufacturing operations. You will partner with leaders to drive talent management, employee engagement, and organizational effectiveness.

You will guide employee relations, performance management, labor law compliance, compensation and benefits, and HR analytics to support safe, productive, and inclusive workplaces.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, business, or related field.
• Minimum four years of HR experience in manufacturing/plant environments.
• Strong knowledge of HR functions: employee relations, performance, recruitment, compensation, benefits, compliance.
• Understanding of employment and labor laws at local, state, and federal levels.
• Experience driving organizational change and continuous improvement.
• Ability to partner with leaders to align HR with business objectives.
• Experience with HRIS timekeeping or similar workforce tools; system implementations preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication across all levels.
• Willingness to travel up to 30%.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement HR strategies and procedures aligned with corporate policies.
• Partner with site and business leaders on workforce planning and organizational design.
• Manage end-to-end recruiting with TA team including interviews, offers, and onboarding.
• Interview and support selection of salaried personnel with compliant hiring practices.
• Provide leadership coaching and HR guidance on employee relations and investigations.
• Foster high engagement and productivity through proactive HR programs.
• Promote positive employee relations to minimize union risk.
• Support wage and compensation administration per corporate frameworks.
• Serve as local HR contact for benefits, safety matters, and policy interpretation.
• Ensure compliance with applicable labor laws at all levels.
• Interpret and apply employment legislation across the site.
• Lead organizational design, workforce effectiveness, and competency development.
• Champion continuous improvement and operational excellence through HR initiatives.
• Maintain HR records and generate workforce metrics reports.
• Analyze HR data to identify risks and opportunities for improvement.
• Promote company values and ethics through HR programs.
• Perform other HR projects as assigned.
