Job summary

The Vermont Department of Human Resources (DHR) is seeking a Human Resources Business Partner or Generalist to provide HR services to multiple state departments, including performance management, coaching, labor relations, hiring, onboarding, and classification.

Hybrid telework is supported with some Montpelier office presence. Ideal candidates will manage large workloads, communicate effectively, and work well in teams while maintaining accuracy and timely delivery of HR functions.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years or more of experience in human resources that includes employee relations or labor relations.
• Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or related field.
• Supervisory experience.
• Labor relations experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide HR services and guidance to multiple Vermont state departments.
• Support performance management and supervisory coaching.
• Lead labor relations activities and employee relations guidance.
• Assist with hiring, onboarding, position management, and job classification.
• Manage HR data and reporting in the VTHR system.
