Job summary

Sound Credit Union is seeking a Human Resources Business Partner to drive organizational effectiveness across teams in the Tacoma area. The role partners with leaders on workforce planning, employee relations, and performance management to elevate the employee experience.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in HR, experience with investigations and compensation management, and a PHR or SHRM-CP certification. Hybrid schedule; benefits include a strong 401(k) match and tuition assistance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive experience in the Human Resources field
• Experience conducting workplace investigations, advising leaders on employment matters, and compensation management
• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field preferred
• PHR or SHRM-CP certification required

Responsibilities

• Drive organizational effectiveness by analyzing workforce trends, supporting compensation philosophy, and recommending strategies to improve retention, engagement, and team performance.
• Lead and support HR initiatives, change management efforts, and people programs that enhance employee experience.
• Partner with leaders to resolve employee relations issues, conduct investigations, and provide guidance on performance management.
