Job summary

Alta Equipment Group in Michigan seeks a Human Resources Business Partner to support our Midwest multi-site operation from New Hudson, MI. This strategic role partners with senior leadership and branch managers to align HR programs with business goals.

You will handle employee relations, labor relations for two union agreements, training, policy development, and ensure compliance while traveling 15–20% regionally. Bachelor's in HR and 2+ years experience required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR or related discipline preferred.
• 2+ years of progressive HR experience required.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Great verbal and written communication; comfortable presenting to groups.
• Experience with HR policies, programs, and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Serve as HR generalist (excluding payroll and benefits).
• Partner with senior leadership and branch management on HR initiatives.
• Manage labor relations for union agreements.
• Develop relationships with colleges and trade schools.
• Handle employee relations investigations and training sessions.
• Ensure compliance with HR policies and legal requirements.
