Job summary

Alta Equipment Group is seeking a hands-on HR Business Partner to support our Midwest multi-site operation from Michigan, NW Ohio and New Hudson HQ. This role partners with senior leadership to drive people strategies and ensure alignment with our guiding principles.

You will handle HR generalist activities (excluding payroll), labor relations for two union agreements, talent development, and training delivery, with travel about 15–20% to regional branches.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR or related discipline preferred.
• Minimum 2 years HR experience required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Labor relations experience is a plus.
• Willingness to travel 15–20%.

Responsibilities

• Serve as HR generalist excluding payroll and benefits.
• Manage labor relations for two union agreements.
• Develop relationships with colleges and trade schools.
• Deliver HR training sessions on compliance, leadership, and inclusion.
• Ensure compliance with HR policies and procedures.
