Job summary

Roane State Community College seeks a Human Resources Manager to collaborate with the Human Resources Director in administering HR programs, policies, and practices related to employee relations, benefits, recruitment, and staffing. This role leads benefits sessions, ensures compliance with federal/state laws, and supports daily HR operations aligned with the College’s mission.

This position is not remote and will be based in the Roane State Community College HR office, reporting to the HR

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, labor relations, management, business administration, or related field.
• Five years of professional HR experience with increasing responsibilities.
• Experience in higher education preferred.
• Experience leading benefits sessions and employee engagement preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage full recruitment and hiring process for exempt and nonexempt staff.
• Prepare and issue official HR documents, including offers and contracts.
• Oversee benefits sessions and benefits administration.
• Maintain employee data entry in Edison and Banner systems.
• Administer and maintain RSCC's employee benefits programs.
• Serve as primary contact with benefit carriers and HR vendors.
• Provide guidance on HR policies and processes to staff and applicants.
• Supervise HR staff and student workers; ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Support FMLA administration and workplace accommodations as needed.
