Job summary

SFUSD is seeking a Human Resources Business Partner to help lead civil service staffing and talent management initiatives in a large urban school system. You will report to the Director of Classified Staffing and work within the Civil Service Staffing Team to implement district-wide HR solutions.

The strongest candidate will bring analytic rigor, collaborative leadership, and strong communication skills to support equity-focused staffing practices and an inclusive work environment for SFUSD

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; substitution options for relevant HR experience.
• Experience in talent management and organizational change is highly desirable.
• Strong communication, facilitation and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead HR business practices initiatives across the district.
• Coordinate talent management and staffing processes.
• Analyze classifications, compensation and recruitment needs.
• Provide guidance on policy, ADA, FMLA and union agreements.
• Collaborate with department managers to optimize staffing models.
• Support confidential handling of sensitive personnel matters.
