Austin Transportation and Public Works (ATPW) is seeking an experienced Human Resources Advisor to provide management and employee-group HR support across a broad range of issues. You will implement services and programs in one or more HR areas and advise leadership on policy and program decisions.

This full-time role emphasizes program design, data analysis, training, and collaboration with managers to enhance workforce effectiveness within a dynamic city department.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field; 3+ years HR experience preferred.
• Experience advising management on HR issues per regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Ability to design, implement, and evaluate HR programs and services.

Responsibilities

• Assists HR management in planning, designing, developing, implementing, and evaluating major HR programs.
• Serves as subject matter expert, advising management and employee groups on HR issues, regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Implements HR programs, procedures, processes, and strategies.
• Recommends policy enhancements to improve efficiency and service quality; monitors actions to resolution.
