Job summary

HomeRise seeks a Director of Property Management to provide strategic leadership across a 130+ person PM team and 16 properties housing 1,100+ residents in San Francisco. This 6-month renewable term focuses on compliant operations, budget oversight, and driving resident self-sufficiency through strong staff development.

Qualifications

• BS or BA degree in business administration or related field.
• Minimum eight (8) years’ experience within property management including supportive housing, affordable housing, and non-profit management.
• Ability to develop budgets and review financial statements.
• Strong computer skills including word processing, databases, spreadsheets and a knowledge of Yardi Property Management software.
• High level of organization and the ability to complete complex tasks with minimal supervision.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the operations and budget of HomeRise’s properties.
• Ensure compliance with rules, regulations, and laws relevant to HomeRise’s housing, affiliates, and third parties.
• Lead and develop the PM team and supervise staff.
• Prepare portfolio performance reports and present to the Housing Committee.
• Manage capital projects and site improvements.
• Coordinate with Resident Services and other departments.
• Recruit, hire, and develop PM staff.
• Ensure occupancy and rent collection targets are met.
