Job summary

Highgate Hotels is seeking a Director of Operations for Residence Inn Isla Verde in Carolina, Puerto Rico. You will lead hotel departments, drive profitability, and ensure brand and corporate standards are met across rooms and support areas.

The role requires significant leadership experience, a relevant degree, and the ability to manage long hours and complex operations while developing future managers.

Qualifications

• At least 6 years progressive experience in hotel operations or related field, or a 4-year degree with 4–5 years of related experience.
• Rotational schedules and long hours may be required.
• Must have a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Rooms operations and related departments, including Front Office and Housekeeping.
• Act as Hotel Manager on Duty in the absence of the General Manager.
• Drive revenue, control costs, and develop employees while upholding Marriott Brand Standards.
• Lead weekly meetings, budgets, and monthly financial reviews with department heads.
• Ensure compliance with Highgate Hotel SOPs and Brand procedures.
• Support training, recruitment, and performance conversations for managers.
