Job summary

Miraval Berkshires Resort and Spa seeks a Director of Hotel Financial Operations to lead the hotel’s finance and accounting functions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting. You will partner with hotel leadership to drive profitability and strategic financial decision-making.

The role oversees budgeting, monthly closes, internal controls, audits, and collaboration with Hyatt standards, reporting to the Area Director of Finance.

Qualifications

• 2+ years progressive accounting experience, preferably in hospitality.
• Experience supervising accounting staff.
• Advanced MS Word and Excel skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication in English.
• Ability to interact with diverse backgrounds and drive bottom-line improvements.
• Knowledge of Hyatt systems and internal controls is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the hotel’s financial reporting and accounting functions with accuracy and timeliness.
• Direct the monthly financial close, journal entries, GL reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Oversee monthly/quarterly/annual reports in line with Hyatt standards.
• Review results, variances, and provide actionable financial analysis.
• Manage GL, AP/AR, payroll accounting, and cash management.
• Oversee systems administration and procurement-related controls.
