Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Sunnyvale is seeking a Controller to assist the CFO in daily financial operations, including month-end close review, analysis and action planning, daily KPI monitoring as well as supply chain and revenue cycle oversight. The Controller will ensure GAAP compliance, oversee Shared Services, Lab and GME entities, and prepare annual operating budgets and forecasts.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting and/or Business Administration.
• 2–5 years of healthcare financial experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Additional languages preferred.
• Basic computer knowledge; advanced Excel skills; PowerBI a plus.
• Ability to use standard office equipment.
• Must meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a complete and accurate set of financial records in partnership with the CFO.
• Prepares reconciliations (bank, balance sheet, income statement) timely.
• Prepares Book Analysis for management and corporate review.
• Completes quarterly Audit Pack on schedule.
• Calculates and files Sales Tax returns.
• Prepares and mails A/R billings to physicians and other parties.
• Prepares journal entries and reviews general ledger for accuracy.
• Monitors fixed asset accounts and depreciation reconciliation.
• Trains and mentors staff to achieve high hospital operations quality.
