Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Sunnyvale is seeking a Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Nursing Director to oversee clinical, operational, and fiscal performance of designated units. This on-site leadership role drives evidence-based practice, staffing, and patient care excellence across Sunnyvale, TX.

Responsibilities include developing strategies, managing budgets, and guiding education programs while ensuring compliance with standards of care and patient safety.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing; BSN required, MSN preferred.
• Current state licensed Registered Nurse licensure.
• 3+ years of management experience in the area of expertise.
• AHA BLS required; national certification preferred.
• English communication skills (verbal and written).
• Additional languages preferred.
• Basic computer knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to managers and frontline staff.
• Oversee the performance of multiple teams.
• Develop long-term plans aligned with strategy and coordinate execution with subordinate managers.
• Communicate priorities, monitor progress, and adjust course as needed.
• Manage budgets and ensure financial results.
• Promote the hospital’s mission, vision and values across departments.
• Coordinate education and performance improvement activities and collaborate with other departments.
