Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health is hiring an Accounting Manager for Global Business Services to oversee complex accounting tasks and lead a professional team in the preparation of financial statements.

The role focuses on the general ledger, close processes, internal and external audits, and collaboration with facility CFOs and outsourced partners to ensure accurate reporting and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in accounting or 150 semester hours with at least 30 upper-level accounting hours and 24 upper-level business hours from an accredited college or university.
• 5 Years of Experience; Public Accounting preferred.
• Proven knowledge of GAAP standards.
• Ability to perform accounting research.
• Experience leading accounting work and process improvements.
• Ability to manage a team.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Ability to train others.

Responsibilities

• Manages the accounting function for an assigned region or area of responsibility.
• Supervises employed staff, as well as outsourced staff.
• Oversees monthly close process.
• Reviews financial statements and performs financial analysis.
• Performs final review of account reconciliations and provides feedback.
• Manages accounting audits both internally and externally, interacting with external auditors and internal auditors.
• Prepares financial statements and underlying help.
• Acts as liaison with facility CFO and outsourced vendor.
• Helps in resolving reconciling items and business process issues.
• Elevates issues and communicates relevant financial information to other departments including tax and government finance.
