Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum Required Education: Bachelors of Science in Health Information Management.
• Experience: 5+ years’ experience managing a Health Information Department in an acute care setting.
• Certification: RHIA certified.

Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee HIM department processes and controls to meet internal and external information needs.
• Move from paper-based records to an integrated electronic health record environment.
• Ensure privacy, security, and confidentiality compliance; coordinate with risk management, legal, IT, and clinical leadership.
• Staff development, education, and effective performance management within the HIM department.
