Job summary

GM2 Associates, Inc. is seeking a Senior Highway/Roadway Engineer with 10–15 years of civil engineering experience to join our team in New Hampshire.

The ideal candidate is a PE, preferably licensed in NH, capable of leading projects and mentoring junior staff while maintaining strict QA/QC standards. Responsibilities include designing roadways using MicroStation/OpenRoads and AutoCAD, coordinating with NHDOT and other stakeholders, and delivering technical reports and documentation on schedule

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering is required.
• 10–15 years of highway/roadway experience.
• PE license required; NH preferred.
• Proficiency with Bentley MicroStation/OpenRoads and AutoCAD.
• Experience on NHDOT design projects desirable.
• Strong QA/QC mindset and documentation skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; mentoring abilities.

GM2 is seeking a motivated and experienced Senior Highway/Roadway Engineer engineer with a bachelor's degree in civil engineering and 10-15 years of relevant experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be a licensed Professional Engineer (PE), preferably in New Hampshire, with a demonstrated ability to work independently and provide leadership and mentorship to junior staff, while strictly adhering to quality control procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead or support roadway and infrastructure design projects with minimal oversight.
• Ensure adherence to internal QA/QC procedures and project standards.
• Develop designs and plans using Bentley MicroStation/OpenRoads and AutoCAD.
• Perform drainage design and 3D modeling for roadway projects.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, and agencies, including NHDOT.
• Prepare technical reports, calculations, and project documentation.
• Participate in project planning, budgeting, and schedule management.

Qualifications:

• Experience: 10-15 years of relevant experience in civil or transportation engineering. Previous experience with New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) design projects (highly desirable).
• Technical Knowledge: Proficiency with Bentley MicroStation/OpenRoads, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office Suite.
• Design & Compliance: Strong technical background in roadway design,including drainage and 3D modeling (desirable) and commitment to QA/QC standards.
• CommunicationSkills: Excellent verbal and written communication and people skills.
• Leadership: Ability to lead and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams while mentoring junior team members.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in civil engineering (required).
• Project & Client Management – MassDOT, NHDOT, RIDOT and VDOT experience along with the ability to drive future business
• Licensure: Professional Engineer (PE) license (required; New Hampshire PE preferred.
