Job summary

Ryder is seeking a Sourcing & Supply Manager in Fort Worth, TX to develop and refine procurement strategies for a portfolio of Fortune 500 clients and to lead a small procurement team. Qualifications

• Seven (7) years or more experience in similar roles.
• Experience presenting to internal and external customers.
• Experience building strategic business relationships and negotiations.

Responsibilities

• Serve as liaison between customers, carriers, engineering resources, operations teams, and internal stakeholders to develop and execute transportation solutions.
• Act as subject-matter expert for heavy-haul, over-dimensional, project cargo, and high-value freight movements.
• Build executive relationships with customers and carriers to align objectives.
• Lead procurement strategy reviews related to carrier solutions and procurement initiatives.
• Evaluate requirements and recommend routing, equipment configurations, and execution approaches.
• Collaborate with carriers to validate routing, permits, escorts, and site access.
• Lead strategic sourcing initiatives, RFP development, and supplier evaluations.
• Conduct pricing analyses, contract negotiations, and service reviews.
• Develop a network of specialized carriers and resources for complex movements.
• Assess transportation risks and ensure safety/regulatory compliance.
