Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking an experienced Inventory/Procurement Specialist to manage cost-effective maintenance and monitoring of hospital inventory. You will coordinate across multiple sites, serve as the primary contact for inter-facility transfers, and resolve procurement issues to ensure timely, accurate ordering and invoicing.

The role requires strong data analysis, vendor management, and excellent communication with healthcare teams.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of computerized purchasing and/or materials management/distribution systems.
• Excellent communication, human relations, and analytical skills.
• Self-motivated and detail oriented.
• Basic computer skills in using Microsoft office suite.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains cost effective maintenance and monitoring programs for inventory to maximize usage and minimize expenses.
• Coordinates inventory levels across sites and serves as main contact for inter-facility inquiries.
• Resolves procurement issues including vendor disputes and urgent orders; processes and reconciles invoices and credits.
• Reviews inventory data levels and recommends changes or consolidations to management.
