Job summary

Advocate Health Care is seeking an Inventory Specialist to monitor inventory levels, purchase supplies, and manage the storeroom and two-bin system to support patient care. The role includes processing requisitions, coordinating with vendors, and maintaining data accuracy in Lawson.

Ideal candidates will have a bachelor degree or equivalent experience, strong communication, and hands-on experience with purchasing and inventory control systems.

• Experience with purchasing/inventory control system.

Responsibilities

• Monitor inventory levels and purchase supplies to avoid stock-outs.
• Manage 2-bin system and mobile supply chain; maintain stock and allocations, coordinate with nursing and supply chain.
• Process inventory expense requisitions, verify pricing, and ensure contracts are followed; resolve discrepancies with vendors.
• Assist in product placement and storeroom layout to meet perpetual inventory quantities.
