Job summary

Encompass Health is seeking a Purchasing Coordinator to manage requisitions, purchase orders, and inventory for hospital departments. This role supports seamless procurement processes across the hospital setting, aligning timely supply with patient care needs and operational efficiency.

You will negotiate with vendors, process orders, and maintain optimal stock levels while collaborating with multiple teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; a bachelor1s degree is preferred.
• 2-3 years of hospital supply and purchasing management experience.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to analyze situations, make informed decisions, and meet deadlines independently.

Responsibilities

• Receive and process hospital and departmental requisitions and purchase orders accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain optimal inventory levels as per hospital procedures while controlling supplies and equipment for all hospital departments.
• Negotiate prices and contracts with outside vendors as required.
• Order medical and clinical supplies for the hospital.
• Oversee the purchase order process for hospital supplies.
