Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years experience in Healthcare HR Administration.
• Solid knowledge of laws, regulations, and guidelines for personnel administration in nursing facilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and directing the HR department.
• Review requests for new or replacement personnel, coordinate interviews and appointments.
• Check applications and references, arrange interviews with department directors.
• Maintain personnel record filing system compliant with employment practices.
• Ensure hiring and discharge procedures align with policies.
• Conduct employee background checks per procedures.
• Orient new personnel to policies, payroll, safety, and grievance procedures.
• Counsel or discipline personnel as needed.
• Conduct exit interviews and record data.
• Maintain an employee relations program for the facility and community.
• Schedule all-staff in-servicing for mandatory training (OSH​A, HIPAA, Compliance).
• Assist in developing department budgets for personnel administration.
• Maintain confidentiality of employee information.
• Ensure residents’ rights are communicated to new hires.
• Report incidents of unauthorized disclosure of confidential information.
• Protect residents’ rights to fair and equitable treatment.
