Job summary

Sapphire Healthcare in Belvidere, IL seeks a Human Resources Director to lead a team of long-term care professionals and drive people strategies. This role partners with facility leadership to maintain a positive workplace culture and ensure regulatory compliance.

You will oversee recruitment, onboarding, payroll, benefits, compliance, and employee relations, while fostering engagement and adherence to policies across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR or related field. Advanced certification preferred.
• Experience in healthcare or long-term care HR is highly desirable.
• Proficient in HR systems, payroll, benefits, and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily HR operations for the facility, including recruitment, onboarding, payroll, benefits, and employee relations.
• Collaborate with administrators and department directors to identify staffing needs and develop recruitment strategies.
• Manage recruitment for clinical and non-clinical roles, including postings, screening, interviews, and onboarding.
• Coordinate onboarding processes, background checks, license verifications, and pre-employment screenings.
• Maintain confidential personnel files and ensure regulatory compliance during audits and surveys.
• Oversee timekeeping, payroll accuracy, and changes; provide HR guidance to staff and management.
• Advise administrators on employee relations matters, performance management, and investigations.
• Coordinate recognition programs and retention initiatives to foster a positive work culture.
• Administer benefits enrollment and respond to employee inquiries; support open enrollment.
