Blue Cross NC seeks a Director of Enterprise Architecture & Technology Strategy to shape and govern technology across the enterprise. You will translate business goals into scalable architecture and roadmaps, partner with executive leadership, and promote best practices to drive growth and innovation.

You will lead architecture governance, evaluate emerging technologies, oversee API strategy, cloud transformation, and modernization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS or IS required.
• 15+ years of progressive IT experience.
• 5+ years in technology leadership roles (Director or above).
• Healthcare domain experience with X12/FHIR/HL7 familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Define and deliver enterprise technology and architecture strategies aligned to business growth.
• Establish and enforce architecture standards and reference architectures.
• Provide strategic guidance on technology decisions from solution architecture to platforms.
• Lead integration and modernization including APIs and cloud transformation.
• Monitor industry trends to drive innovation and business value.
• Collaborate with business and IT leaders to align architecture with objectives.
• Embed security, compliance, and risk management into decisions.
• Guide cost-effective architectural choices and IT investment planning.
• Oversee early delivery lifecycle to ensure scalable and secure designs.
• Develop and mentor architecture team for continuous improvement.
