Job summary

PatientCare EMS Solutions seeks an experienced Controller to lead accounting across a growing multi‑state healthcare organization. Based in Franklin, TN, you will report to the CFO and supervise a lean team while managing close, revenue recognition and internal controls.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of Controller experience in healthcare with $300M–$350M in revenue and a track record of automation and process improvements under private‑equity ownership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 3–5 years as Controller in healthcare with $300M–$350M in revenue preferred.
• Strong command of U.S. GAAP (ASC 606/ASC 842) and revenue-cycle accounting.

Responsibilities

• Own the monthly, quarterly and annual close across multiple entities ensuring GAAP-compliant financial statements.
• Maintain and improve a 10-business-day close cycle.
• Oversee healthcare revenue recognition, including ASC 606, contractual allowances and payer-mix adjustments.
• Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations and supporting schedules for audit readiness.
• Lead a lean accounting team of fewer than 10 employees across AP, AR, payroll and revenue accounting.
• Oversee fixed-asset accounting, capital projects and ASC 842 lease accounting.
• Manage consolidated reporting for multi-entity and multi-state operations.
• Lead annual budgeting and provide management reporting to CFO and executives.
