Job summary

Precise Behavioral is seeking a seasoned Controller to lead the finance function in a fast-growing behavioral health platform. You will build scalable processes, bolster internal controls, and elevate reporting quality across multiple entities and states.

The ideal candidate has deep GAAP expertise, healthcare revenue cycle knowledge, and hands-on experience in PE-backed environments. This role requires leadership in audits, consolidation, and KPI-driven financial management.

Qualifications

• 10-15+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting; CPA/MACC preferred.
• Must reside in the Los Angeles, CA area; experience in fast-growing healthcare delivery.
• Experience with Sage Intacct and multi-entity, multi-state operations.
• Experience leading close processes and coordinating external audits.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes with speed, accuracy, and scalability.
• Build and manage a disciplined accounting function across multiple entities and states.
• Oversee AP, AR, payroll, GL, reconciliations, accruals and journal entries, and financial reporting.
• Manage intercompany accounting and consolidation within PC/MSO structures.
• Collaborate with operations and revenue cycle teams to improve cash flow visibility and KPI-driven reporting.
• Oversee tax filings across entities and jurisdictions with external advisors.
• Coordinate annual financial audits with external auditors and provide audit support schedules.
