Free Market Health, based in Pittsburgh, seeks a Communications Specialist to support client and customer communications across health plans, PBMs, and providers. You will draft content, manage templates, and help drive adoption and engagement with partner organizations.

The role emphasizes clear, timely information with strong writing and project management skills in a fast-paced healthcare technology environment. Collaboration is key across Marketing, Sales, and Implementation teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, PR, Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in communications, marketing, client engagement, customer success, or a related role.
• Exceptional writing, editing, proofreading, and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and project management abilities with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Experience collaborating across departments and building strong working relationships.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and other collaboration or project management platforms.

Responsibilities

• Draft, edit, and distribute client and customer-facing communications, including FAQs, implementation timelines, newsletters, project updates, presentations, and stakeholder communications.
• Coordinate communication deliverables across Client Services, Sales, Implementation, Product, Network, Support, and Marketing teams.
• Maintain and update communication templates, toolkits, collateral, and supporting resources.
• Support the development of meeting materials, presentations, and strategic communication plans.
• Track communication milestones and deliverables to ensure timely and successful implementation activities.
• Monitor and respond to communications-related inquiries from clients and customers.
• Partner with internal teams to communicate updates, manage escalations, and support issue resolution efforts.
• Help ensure stakeholders receive clear, consistent, and actionable information throughout their partnership.
