Job summary
Caterpillar's Electric Power Division (EPD) seeks a Strategy Manager to shape commercial and product strategies for energy-transition technologies and solutions. You will collaborate with engineering and operations to position Caterpillar as an industry leader in energy solutions.
You will identify priority technologies, engage external partners for co-development and investments, and drive strategic alliances and corporate development initiatives across a global team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required in engineering, finance or related fields.
- Extensive planning experience across operational, tactical and strategic horizons.
- Strong communication skills and ability to translate complex concepts.
- Experience with consulting processes and tools and partner engagement.
Responsibilities
- Lead efforts to analyze industry and competitive intelligence around themes or technology areas.
- Create strategic frameworks for positioning product and solutions development.
- Work with teams to implement product and commercial strategies.
- Identify and raise awareness of potential strategic alliances and partnerships.
- Identify investment opportunities that create strategic value.
- Collaborate with legal to manage commercial agreements with partners.
- Support Venture Capital investments and M&A opportunities.
