Job summary

Huntsman is seeking a Business Development Manager for the Performance Products Division in The Woodlands, Texas. You will lead the regional implementation of global commercial strategies, driving market growth in coatings, adhesives, composites, gas treating, and agrochemicals.

You will develop business cases, manage strategic project plans, and collaborate with Manufacturing, Commercial, Supply Chain, Finance, and Technology to deliver value and growth. Travel up to 50% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, chemistry or related technical discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in business development or marketing in the chemical industry.
• Demonstrated experience taking new business opportunities from concept to commercialization.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams in a matrix organization.

Responsibilities

• Develop and present clear business cases for growth opportunities, including market attractiveness, customer needs, competitive positioning, financial impact, risks, and execution requirements.
• Develop and manage strategic project plans with milestones, owners, deliverables, timelines, and decision points.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities that expand the HPP portfolio and strengthen the value proposition for targeted applications and customers.
• Assess new capital investment opportunities with Manufacturing, Commercial, Marketing, and Technology teams, and recommend projects that support growth priorities.
• Provide market, business, and competitive intelligence, along with communication campaigns and product/application promotion plans.
• Lead cross-functional collaboration with Manufacturing, Commercial, Supply Chain, Finance and Technology teams to execute innovation projects and deliver growth targets.
• Engage customers, suppliers, and industry stakeholders to identify opportunities and build a pipeline aligned with business strategy.
