Job summary

Adolfson & Peterson Construction is seeking an experienced Director of Business Development to lead the region's growth. The role focuses on developing and executing a comprehensive strategy to identify new markets, targets, and clients while ensuring profitable expansion in line with AP's mission.

You will build a strong network, manage pursuit teams, and collaborate with marketing to craft compelling proposals and win new work across key industries.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, economics, or related discipline; 6+ years of experience with at least 3 years in selling and developing new business generating $5M+ in revenue.
• MBA preferred; experience in A/E/C industry is a plus.
• Experience using consultative selling approaches and CRM databases.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy to identify new business, markets, and clients in the region.
• Lead pursuit teams and manage the sales process from strategy to proposal to negotiation.
• Build and maintain strategic relationships with COIs and C-suite level decision makers.
• Partner with marketing to craft market segmentation, value propositions, and pricing/branding strategies.
• Travel as needed and ensure alignment with company ethics and governance.
