Qualifications

• 2+ years of management consulting or similar in-house experience.
• Strong structured problem-solving skills to break down complex issues.
• Excellent communication skills for senior-leader interactions.
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams with prioritization.
• Financial acumen with strong modeling and Excel proficiency.
• Bachelor's degree in business, economics, finance or related field.

Responsibilities

• Develop the overall strategy for Markel Insurance and support execution.
• Conduct market research, macro trends, and competitive intelligence.
• Support growth strategies, operations, and organizational challenges.
• Prepare executive-ready presentations for the CEO, Executive Leadership Team, Board, and senior stakeholders.
• Support corporate development with deal lifecycle analysis.
• Drive cross-functional strategic initiatives across underwriting, operations, finance, and technology.
• Build relationships with business leaders to provide data-driven insights.
• Answer ad-hoc strategic questions from senior executives.
