Cencora is seeking a Senior Director of Corporate Strategy & Market Development to shape the company’s next chapter, working directly with the executive team to define priorities and evaluate transformative growth opportunities.

You will lead enterprise-wide strategy, perform rigorous market intelligence, and drive cross-functional initiatives that unlock durable competitive advantage and long-term value for patients, providers, and partners.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field required; MBA or advanced degree strongly preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in corporate strategy, corporate development, market development, or a related field.
• Prior experience in management consulting, investment banking, or corporate development — you know how to structure a problem, build a compelling narrative, and influence without authority
• Exceptional analytical and strategic thinking skills — you turn complexity into insight and insight into action
• Proven success leading cross-functional initiatives and advising senior leaders in complex, matrixed organizations
• Executive-level communication skills — written, verbal, and everything in between
• Ability to zoom out to the enterprise view and zoom in to drive execution — often in the same week
• Healthcare or pharmaceutical industry experience is a plus, not a prerequisite — intellectual curiosity and learning agility matter more
• Willingness to travel up to 30%

• Shape Enterprise Strategy: Partner with senior leadership to define and continuously sharpen corporate strategy and long-term priorities.
• Identify and Unlock Growth Opportunities: Lead evaluation of new business opportunities, strategic partnerships, acquisitions, and divestitures; develop business cases.
• Deliver Market and Competitive Intelligence: Conduct deep market research and translate signals into actionable executive recommendations.
• Lead Cross-Functional Strategic Initiatives: Drive prioritized initiatives from concept through execution with governance and accountability.
• Champion Innovation and Transformation: Bring new frameworks, support change management and ongoing learning.
• Influence and Build Strategic Relationships: Cultivate relationships with senior leaders and external partners; communicate with credibility to boards.
• Manage Strategic Investments: Oversee budgets and measure financial and strategic outcomes.
