Job summary

AltaMed Health Services is seeking a Grant Writer II for Foundation & Corporate Relations in Commerce, CA. The role leads the preparation and submission of grant applications, coordinating across internal teams and external consultants to meet RFP timelines.

You will conduct prospect research, develop strategic concepts, and help advance AltaMed’s fundraising goals through compelling proposals and stewardship of funders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Public Health, Communications, or related field required. Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of grant writing/professional writing experience with success in healthcare or nonprofit settings.

Responsibilities

• Lead preparation and submission of grant applications in response to RFPs.
• Coordinate full proposal development lifecycle across departments and external partners.
• Conduct prospect research to identify funders and opportunities; develop strategic concept papers.
