Job summary

AltaMed Health Services Corporation seeks a Grant Writer II to lead the preparation and submission of grant applications responding to RFPs from corporate, foundation, and private agencies. You will coordinate the full proposal lifecycle with internal teams and external consultants.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years of grant or professional writing experience, preferably in healthcare or nonprofit environments. Hybrid work arrangement in Commerce, CA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Public Health, Communications, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years grant writing and/or professional writing experience.
• Healthcare or nonprofit proposal writing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation and submission of grant applications in response to RFPs from corporate, foundation, and private agencies.
• Coordinate and manage the full proposal development lifecycle across departments.
• Conduct prospect research to identify foundation and corporate funding opportunities.
• Develop strategic concept papers highlighting innovative practices to advance AltaMed’s programs and fundraising goals.
