Job summary

AltaMed Health Services Corp. is seeking a Grant Writer II to lead the preparation and submission of grant applications in response to RFPs from corporate, foundation, and private agencies.

This role coordinates the full proposal lifecycle, collaborates with Senior Grant Writer and staff across departments, and conducts prospect research to identify funding opportunities that advance AltaMed’s programs while supporting fundraising goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in English, Public Health, Communications, or related field.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of grant writing and/or professional writing experience, preferably for healthcare or nonprofit sectors.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation and submission of grant applications in response to RFPS.
• Coordinate and manage the full proposal development lifecycle across departments.
• Establish submission timelines and facilitate collaboration among internal and external partners.
