Job summary

The State of Colorado’s Behavioral Health Administration is seeking an experienced leader to oversee grant programs, ensure compliance, and coordinate audits across multiple behavioral health initiatives. This role reports within the Behavioral Health Administration and supports policy development, service provision, and program monitoring.

The position directs grant vetting, leads post-award transitions, and maintains boilerplate language for proposals while guiding a team of six staff toward

Qualifications

• Nine (9) years of relevant experience in an occupation related to the work assigned to this position.
• A combination of related education and/or relevant experience in an occupation related to the work assigned equal to nine (9) years.

Responsibilities

• Directs the agency’s formal grant vetting process including grant application intake forms and decision workflows to enforce strategic alignment, thorough upfront project/budget planning, and evaluate organizational risk before submitting grant applications.
• Leads contract monitoring framework and ensures compliance through standardized tools and risk assessment protocols.
• Supervises a team of 6 FTE staff directly or through lower-tier management; handles recruitment, onboarding, workload prioritization, and performance evaluations.
