Job summary

Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) is seeking an experienced Administrative Leader to manage the Operations and Project Management Unit within the Prevention Services Division. You will provide branch-wide operational leadership, supervise four FTEs, and oversee grants, contracts, procurement, and program implementation across multiple chronic disease prevention programs.

The role requires eight years of related experience or an equivalent education/experience

Qualifications

• Eight years of relevant experience or a combination of education and experience in program operations leadership.
• Experience overseeing grants/ contracts and procurement lifecycles.
• Ability to implement quality improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, PDSA).
• Strong leadership and supervision of professional staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead unit operations and supervise four FTEs; govern workflow, grants, contracts, procurement, and program operations across multiple funding streams.
• Develop and enforce standardized operating procedures and performance metrics.
• Coordinate with fiscal, procurement, contracts, compliance, and HR to ensure efficient program implementation.
