Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Manager of Government Relations to support state and local policy, oversee project management, and help shape internal policy development while contributing to select federal initiatives.

This role reports to the Senior Director of Corporate Affairs and requires building strong relationships with civic, government, community, business leaders, and other stakeholders. You will collaborate across functions and SMEs to gather content, develop analyses and talking

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Political Science, Economics, Public Policy/Public Administration or related field, required.
• 5+ years in government relations or related field, required.
• 3+ years navigating legislative/regulatory processes, required.
• 3+ years managing cross-functional projects or teams, required.
• 3+ years engagement with external affairs, public policy, or stakeholder management, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage internal government relations programs, policies, and initiatives with project management support.
• Monitor federal, state, and local regulations and advocate aligned with Ryder's business priorities.
• Collaborate with SMEs to gather content and integrate government relations into planning and comms.
• Develop analyses, talking points, advocacy materials, and content for communications.
• Liaise with federal, state, and local governments, trade associations, customers, and stakeholders.
