Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Manager Government Relations to bolster state, local and federal policy initiatives and provide strategic project management.

You will educate lawmakers, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and develop advocacy materials to advance Ryder’s business priorities. You will liaise with government offices, trade associations, and stakeholders, while ensuring compliance and timely delivery of policy programs.

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate with high-profile audiences.
• Experience navigating state/federal legislative, regulatory, and executive processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop written analyses, talking points, advocacy, and materials to support Ryder’s government relations objectives.
• Liaison and manage relationships with federal, state, and local governments/policymakers, trade associations, customers, consultants, and other stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and SMEs to gather content for government relations strategies and align with business planning.
