Job summary

EY Government and Infrastructure Assurance practice is seeking a Manager to lead growth and deliver quality assurance services to federal, state, local and education clients. You will act as the primary day-to-day contact, manage teams, and develop client relationships while guiding staff in audit engagements and applying complex accounting concepts.

You’ll travel as needed (up to 30% in federal, up to 80% in state/local/education) and leverage EY resources to deliver measurable results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or related field
• U.S. CPA license
• Ability to obtain/maintain a secret clearance or higher
• Excellent project management skills; strong written and verbal communication
• Team leadership and integrity in a professional environment

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary day-to-day contact for audit clients and build relationships throughout the year
• Direct field work, inform supervisors of engagement status and manage assurance staff performance
• Understand complex accounting/auditing concepts and apply them to client situations
• Develop people by delegating tasks and providing guidance to staff
• Provide performance feedback, training and reviews for assurance staff
• Contribute ideas to assurance teams and encourage idea sharing
• Foster an efficient, innovative, team‑oriented work environment
• Utilize technology to learn, share knowledge and enhance service delivery
• Understand EY service lines and seek opportunities to apply firm services
