Job summary

EY invites you to join our Government and Infrastructure Assurance practice in McLean as a Manager. You will be the primary day-to-day contact for clients, building relationships and guiding audit teams while delivering high-quality assurance services to federal, state, local and education clients.

You will apply your accounting and auditing expertise, project management skills, and leadership to manage engagements, oversee staff performance, and contribute to our mission of helping government

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• U.S. CPA license.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a secret clearance.
• Approximately 5 years of related work experience; ~2 years audit experience for public accounting.
• Excellent project management and written/verbal communication skills.
• Leadership and teamwork orientation.
• Travel up to ~30% federal; up to ~80% state/local education where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for clients and build strong relationships; manage expectations and communications.
• Direct field work, inform supervisors of audit engagement status, and supervise assurance staff performance.
• Demonstrate understanding of complex accounting and auditing concepts and apply them to client situations.
• Develop people by delegating tasks and providing guidance to assurance staff; conduct performance reviews.
