Job summary

AMD seeks a Government Contract Program Manager to oversee the customer relationship for strategic U.S. Government contracts and related programs within a fast-paced semiconductor environment.

The role requires coordinating engineering, product, operations, supply chain, legal, and security teams to meet contract objectives and regulatory requirements, including FAR/DFARS, while maintaining transparency with leadership and customers.

Qualifications

• Strong project management experience with U.S. Government contracts (DoD, IC, or other federal agencies).
• Experience with large, cross-functional programs in a matrixed environment.
• Knowledge of FAR/DFARS, contract types (FFP, CPFF, OTA, etc.), and compliance requirements.
• Active U.S. Government security clearance required.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary program manager and point of contact for strategic U.S. Government contracts, coordinating customer interaction, requirements, and satisfaction.
• Coordinate a portfolio of programs in parallel across multiple efforts.
• Partner with engineering, product, operations, supply chain, legal, security, and finance to secure resources and align priorities.
• Establish governance, cadence, and decision-making forums in a matrixed environment.
• Coordinate government customer relationships, including regular reporting, technical reviews, and contract negotiations and modifications.
• Ensure compliance with government contracting regulations (FAR/DFARS) and security requirements.
• Develop and maintain detailed program plans, IMS, and risk registers; communicate status to leadership and customer.
• Support business development efforts including proposal development and capture strategy.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and partner relationships as required.
