Job summary

AMD in San Jose, CA is seeking an experienced Government Contract Financial Project Manager to oversee the financial scope of a strategic U.S. Government contract and related programs.

You will own budgets, track expenditures, and ensure compliance with corporate planning and reporting requirements. This high-visibility role requires hands-on leadership across engineering, product, operations, supply chain, and security to keep programs aligned with budgets and secure necessary clearances.

Qualifications

• Experience managing DoD/IC or federal contracts.
• Strong cross-functional leadership across engineering, product, operations and supply chain.
• Knowledge of government contracting regulations and security clearance processes.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the financial project manager for a strategic U.S. Government contract, owning budgets and financial tracking.
• Manage the financial accounting of related smaller programs in parallel.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to monitor expenditures and forecast financial performance.
• Provide periodic program health reporting according to target metrics.
• Develop and maintain detailed program financial plans and spend schedules.
• Align annual operating plans with program financial plans.
• Identify and escalate risks and issues in program financials.
• Support business development including proposal development and capture strategy.
