Job summary

Vertosoft in Leesburg, VA is seeking an experienced Government Account Manager (GAM) to lead strategic supplier portfolios and drive public sector sales across Federal, State, and Local markets. The role demands autonomy to develop go-to-market strategies, manage high-value opportunities, and build trusted government customer relationships.

As a GAM III, you will mentor newer account managers, collaborate with Inside Sales, Contracts, and Partners, and represent Vertosoft in executive meetings

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field.
• 5+ years in government-focused tech sales / account management.
• Experience managing complex public sector sales cycles.
• Familiar with GSA, SEWP, SLED procurement environments.
• Proven ability to manage strategic relationships across the public sector ecosystem.
• Strong strategic thinking, execution, and executive presentation skills.
• Able to work independently while collaborating across teams.

Responsibilities

• Own portfolio of supplier partners and drive public sector growth.
• Build go-to-market plans for federal, state, and local markets.
• Develop quarterly business and strategic account plans.
• Identify whitespace and accelerate growth through actions.
• Build trusted relationships with suppliers, government customers, and partners.
• Navigate procurement processes, contract vehicles, and compliance.
• Collaborate with Inside Sales, Marketing, Contracts, Operations, and leadership.
• Maintain disciplined pipeline, forecast, CRM documentation, and revenue reporting.
• Represent Vertosoft in executive meetings and industry events.
