Job summary

Google seeks a Central Advisory and Governance Counsel to guide the Compliance Program across Alphabet. You will report to the Director of Central Advisory and Governance and help ensure risk management and regulatory compliance, supporting reporting and governance materials.

US base with compensation including a base salary, 25% bonus target, equity, and comprehensive benefits. Individual pay reflects experience and education.

Qualifications

• JD/LL.B. or equivalent law degree with bar admission or in-house status.
• 7 years attorney-level experience in government, in-house, or law firm.
• 7 years advising on compliance, regulatory affairs, or governance in tech.
• Admitted to the bar in the state of employment or equivalent status.

Responsibilities

• Advise on compliance programs, standards, and governance elements per regulations.
• Develop frameworks and taxonomies to standardize cross-company compliance efforts.
• Support governance bodies, prepare reporting frameworks and trend analyses.
• Serve as Regulatory Affairs partner for Internal Audit and monitoring programs.
• Provide legal advice on settlements, consent decrees, litigation and enforcement orders.
