Job summary

Google in Mountain View, CA is seeking a Central Advisory and Governance Counsel to provide legal and compliance guidance for the Alphabet-wide Compliance Program. You will report to the Director of Central Advisory and Governance and help enhance reporting, risk management, and compliance with high-risk regulations.

This role requires JD or equivalent, bar admission, and at least seven years of attorney-level experience in government, in-house, or law firm.

Qualifications

• JD or equivalent degree and bar admission in the posting state.
• 7 years of attorney-level experience in government, in-house, or law firm.
• 7 years of experience advising on compliance, regulatory affairs, or corporate governance within a tech environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal and compliance guidance for the Alphabet-wide Compliance Program.
• Support reporting, risk management, and regulatory compliance in high-risk areas.
• Advise on governance documentation, reporting frameworks, and compliance standards.
