Job summary

TaylorMade's Global Operations team is seeking a cost and margin strategist focused on costing for golf ball products, collaborating with R&D, Engineering, Finance and leadership to model true product costs and drive margin improvements.

The role applies activity-based costing, demand planning and financial modelling to shape the ball supply chain strategy, reporting to the Associate Director of Purchasing and Capacity Planning, with a clear path for supply chain professionals in the golf

Qualifications

• Fluent verbal and written English communication.
• Manufacturing expertise across processes such as injection moulding, automated painting, packaging.
• Extensive costing knowledge and expertise in cost analysis & negotiation, incl. on-site supplier negotiations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, especially Excel.
• Experience in lean manufacturing and continual process improvement.
• Ability to identify and drive manufacturing process changes.
• Strong communication with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to build relationships, credibility, and influence across the organization.
• Proficiency at simplifying complex data for executive presentation.
• Familiarity with Business Objects and DOMO, or Oracle.

Responsibilities

• Lead cost- and margin-optimization initiatives across internal and external suppliers.
• Build financial models to support capital investments and NPI cost drivers.
• Present supply chain strategy initiatives to senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
• Lead supplier evaluations, price negotiations, and establish price quotes for domestic and foreign suppliers.
• Support cross-functional NPI teams with leadership and insights.
• Manage and update price lists and cost roll-up documents for new product introductions.
• Monitor pricing trends of commodities critical to the supply chain.
• Develop designs for manufacturability cost options in collaboration with R&D and Engineering.
• Develop a sourcing strategy for faster, cost-effective delivery of the ball business category.
