Job summary

Medline Industries, LP is seeking a procurement professional to analyze, plan and execute purchase orders with international and domestic vendors. You will provide direction to expeditors and manage POs to align with SNP/MRP forecasts and inventory targets.

The role involves negotiating production capacities, coordinating shipping, and maintaining SAP/MRP parameters to ensure timely supply and optimal scheduling. Strong Excel and Word skills are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience in lieu of degree.
• Ability to assimilate diverse information and communicate across internal departments and external vendors.
• Basic SAP and Coupa skills; intermediate Word and Excel abilities.
• Ability to calculate discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages and volume; apply algebra and statistics concepts in SAP.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and process requisitions and purchase orders for Raw Materials, MRO and Services in SAP and Coupa.
• Predict future item consumption to plan Purchase Orders.
• Manage POs to meet demand by reviewing historical data and SNP/MRP/Forecast requirements.
• Negotiate and coordinate production capacities and manufacturing requirements.
• Direct supplier shipping to ensure adequate supply and on-time production scheduling.
• Alert division staff of potential supply issues and escalate urgent matters.
• Maintain APO and SAP MRP parameters; review reports to meet inventory and service goals.
• Coordinate with expeditors to ensure shipment and documentation requirements are met.
• Review sourcing and quota arrangements for correct procurement sourcing.
